She may have been hurt by a broken engagement, but former Destiny's Child singer Kelly Rowland remains a die-hard romantic. In a phone interview with The New Paper from her home in Houston, Texas, the 26-year-old singer said she hopes to meet her dream man one day and get married . 'I would love someone who is confident, has a sense of humour, goals and who knows how to have fun,' said the singer with a giggle. However, once we broached the topic of her ex-fiance US football star Roy Williams, Rowland's tone hardened. They broke up earlier this year. She said: 'This is something I don't really like talking about... because I don't think that it is anybody's business.' Insisting that she and Williams are still friends, she continued: 'We were not ready for marriage. I take marriage very seriously, I'll know when I am ready.' Rowland said she's enjoying the freedom of being unattached. 'Single life is pretty cool. Right now, I'd rather be single. I haven't met anyone whom I want to be attached to,' she said. Successful R&B trio Destiny's Child disbanded last year, leaving members Rowland, Beyonce Knowles and Michelle Williams to pursue solo careers. Rowland's second solo album My Story: Kelly Rowland will be out in April next year. Describing it as 'something that truly belongs' to her, she said: 'I have been working on it for almost a year. I can't wait for the rest of the world to hear it.' Knowles, whose younger sister Solange is a singer-songwriter, is in talks to collaborate with Rowland on this.
