JLO HAS A NEW SHOW in the works...about five teens who run a party-planning business in Miami. The Amigas Sweet 15 Club is a comedy-drama based on an idea by Jane Startz - producer of The Baby-Sitters Club film and TV series. The cameras will follow the girls stretching their talents - DJing, singing, graphic designing - to embark on a party-planning business aimed at helping Latina girls throw their dream Quinceanera (Sweet 15) bashes. Each episode will focus on a different girl and how her family and cultural background influence the event. Jennifer and Jane will executive produce the series, which they hope to develop into a franchise - including young adult books, Latin music-inspired CDs and other franchise properties targeting young female teens.(THE SUN)





TONY BRAXTON IS KEEPING HER LEFT BOOB FOR NOW...Tony makes a statement that refutes the National Enquirer's recent story saying:“There has been a rumor circulating that I have been diagnosed with breast cancer. After feeling something uncomfortable in my left breast, I went in for a screening. I was very fortunate that they did not find anything and I am in great health. However, I encourage women to take their annual tests and suggested precautions to prevent this disease that continues to affect so many women.”





MISSY EATS DORITOS...Missy Elliott will be featured in a new Doritos ad campaign debuting September 17, Billboard.com reports. In the clip, she is seen working on a new song and snacking on Doritos Collision, different-flavored chips that spur her to fuse a little country into her hip-hop track. A contest to be held on SnackStrongProductions.com will allow visitors to create their own mash-ups using Elliott's track, although the prizes have yet to be determined.







FOXY BROWN WANTS OUT, but it ain't gonna happen...Inga Marchand, was jailed last Wednesday by Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson for violating probation from a 2006 assault conviction following her recent arrest for allegedly assaulting her neighbor and a traffic stop for driving on a suspended license. Marchand filed suit against New York's Correction Department on Monday, claiming Judge Jackson's decision to jail her last week was "arbitrary" and "unlawful." Marchand's court filing claims she is "suffering greatly" at Rikers Island prison. Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Laura Ward denied Marchand's application for release. Inga will just have to wait for her court date on Sept. 7.




JORDIN SPARKS (AI) SAYS SHE IS GONNA WAIT..."American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks has pledged to wait to have sex until she's married. Jordin, who became the youngest "Idol" winner in May, reveals she promised her parents she'd keep her virginity until her wedding night when she was just 13. She explains, "My parents gave me a purity ring and talked to me about waiting until I'm married to have sex. It wasn't forced; it just made perfect sense. "It's going to be awesome to say to my husband that I waited my whole life for him." (SFGATE) Speaking of Jordin, she doesn't have a name for her debut album yet, but she's got a release date: November 20. In anticipation of the 19 Recordings/ Jive disc, the "American Idol" winner drew back the curtains on her first single on Friday, debuting "Tattoo" on AOL's Pop Eater blog.

Then Britney goes ahead and shaves her head, goes into rehab and when that happened I lost all contact with her A&R people, with her label. I was calling them, they weren't answering my calls. So in the process of all that going on, that's when I meet Nicole Scherzinger. I played her two gongs, she loved them, they cut the check and she recorded the songs. So when that happened that's when Britney's people called and said ' why are you giving away Britney's songs' and I say 'uh, hold on.. y'all didn't cut me a check" (DLISTED)
