FAMU KAPPAS GET TWO YEARS IN PRISON

Jason Harris, 25 and Michael Morton, 23will
each serve 24 months in prisonthe reason: the
hazing of Marcus Jones in the Alpha Xi Chapter of
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. at FAMU a HBCU.
Marcus Jones had to be hospitalized from the
injuries he received from the hazing/beating.
Then men were found guilty on December 15,2006
and have been in the Leon County Jail ever since.
Lena Gallego, Morton's fiance and four months preggers
with Morthon's child begged for leniency before sentencing.
The two men convicted will also have to
attend a four hour hazing course, serve
three years probation pay $5000 in fines
and $50 in court cost.
Three other defendants in the
case Brian Bowman, 23; Cory Gray, 23
and Marcus Hughes, 21 will go back to
trial a third time on March 12, 2007 after a mistrial
was declared in their case.
