THE ILL NA NA GETS 1 YEAR IN JAIL

Ironically Foxy celebrated her 28th B-day behind bars on 9/6, and she may give birth behind bars also.
Foxy Brown was sentenced Friday to one year in jail for violating probation that stemmed from a fight with two manicurists in a New York City nail salon three years ago. "I'm not going to give you any more chances," Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson told the 28-year-old rapper. "I hope you turn your life around and never again have to stand in a court of law."
Probation Department officials asked for the hearing after Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, was arrested Aug. 14 in Brooklyn on charges of assaulting Arlene Raymond, 25.
Brown, who wore a gray suit with her hair arranged in long twists, told the court that she deserved another chance.
Earlier in Friday's session, a handcuffed Brown begged for leniency.
"I'm willing to do whatever I need to do to change," the Brooklyn-born entertainer said, owning up to the fact that she erred on a number of occasions and vowing to stay out of trouble—for real this time. "I realize that's not where I want to be. It's humbled me in ways I never imagined."
But Jackson wasn't buying any more excuses.
"Being in jail humbled me in a way I never imagined," she said. "I realize that this is not where I want to be."
But Jackson called her apology "too little, too late."

In October, the hip-hop artist was sentenced to three years probation and anger management classes for assaulting two nail salon stylists over a $20 manicure. Brown had argued self-defense.
Jackson handled Brown's case last year, when she also ordered Brown to undergo periodic drug testing, stay away from the manicurists for five years and get the court's approval before traveling.
Brown got into trouble again in August when she was accused of bruising the eye and chipping the tooth of a Brooklyn woman with her BlackBerry. Also in August, she was arrested in New Jersey for misspelling her name and giving an incorrect date of birth to a police officer.
"Probation is a gift that is given to the defendant and I feel very strongly that I gave her the chance to do what she wanted with her life," Jackson said.

Upon hearing her fate, Brown burst in tears and looked at her mother, who was there to support her daughter.
Jackson's stern sentence came after she rejected a plea deal that would have limited Brown's jail time to nine months. The judge was particularly peeved at the performer after a lawyer for the Department of Probation informed the court Brown would be facing charges in the BlackBerry case.
At the time, Brown told Jackson that she was three months pregnant, but there was no mention of it at Friday's hearing. Ikiesha Al-Shabazz, Brown's lawyer, said that she was not aware that Brown is pregnant. (SOURCE)
